We all know that 21st century learners have different needs.  In Birdville ISD, we are striving to meet those needs with the implementation of Robert Marzano’s nine categories of instructional strategies from his book, Classroom Instruction that Works.  Now it is time that we merge those efforts with the truth that technology can greatly support and enhance these strategies.  As we read this book,  Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works by Howard Pitler, Elizabeth Hubbell, Matt Kuhn, and Kim Malenoski, we will reflect on how we currently use technology to engage students in our district and think about ‘what is possible.’  Technology with Marzano’s strategies – the combination that our students need for success.
